Stricter referencing for better tenants

Like every agency, we carry out the usual references and credit checks. But we go further to make sure we get the very best tenants.

• First we don’t just ask the last landlord for a tenant’s reference, we ask the landlord before that too.

• Next we ask the tenants for the last three months’ bank statements, so we can check their income and consistency of rent payment and look for anything that might negatively affect their ability to pay your rent.

• Finally, we apply our own sense of intuition to a tenant. On numerous occasions, ‘the computer has said yes’ but our intuition and logic has said no when something didn’t add up or seem right. It’s only by seeing countless tenants day-in-day-out that we can apply this sense of human logic to find exactly the right tenants for your property.
